: “Sauvie’s Island Pastel”

Today’s daily was work on two plein air paintings. They were the “Oaksbottom Painting” and a 4″x6″ pastel of Sauvies Island. I worked more on the trees and glazed the background to lighten on the Oaksbottom Painting and put more color in the painting. The day we did this painting was gray but I wanted more color.

The pastels was drawn from a photo I had taken on a previous trip to Sauvies Island.

I am a professional artist and teacher of Art. Degrees: B.S. in Art and Psychology, Associate Degree in General Studies, Advanced course work in the Arts and Computer Science. Featured in Books and Magazines.
