I am adding to this post today two years after the original post. I ask myself this question as I looked at my old post,
Is it really that simple to find answer to all things by looking within ourselves ?
We came into the world as a container and have filled ourselves with the diversity of experience of all kinds and a extraordinary variety of emotions like the following gathered from the Abraham-Hicks emotional scale.
“joy, knowledge, empowerment, freedom, love, appreciation, passion, enthusiasm, eagerness, happiness, positive expectation, belief, optimism, hopefulness, contentment, boredom, pessimism, frustration, irritation, impatience, overwhelment, disappointment, doubt, worry, blame, discouragement, anger, revenge, hatred, rage, jealousy, insecurity, guilt, unworthiness, fear, grief, depression, despair, powerlessness.”
Now that our cup is filled with these emotional experiences
We can take a moment to reflect on what we have learned
We can stop and smell the aroma the intoxicating brew that all life experiences mixed together as they blend with the air surronding us.
We can relax and sit back in our chair and take in the surrounding view as we drink out of the cup of life’s challenges and wisdom.
We can take life’s brew into our bodies sip by delicious sip tasting the existance we alone created by the choices we made.
Since two years has past many things have changed I am not the same person I feel more joyful, excited and energetically engaged with life on a moment to moment basis.
Helpful steps to experiencing the emotions you want to experience
Remember you never step in the river in the same place it is always moving and evolving
Put you boat in the river with the idea that you will find a way to go with the current
Coaching helps you reset emotions that no longer serve you.
Remember you were put on the earth to thrive and find ways to feel good that will benefit you and others.
And yes, it really is that simple to find answer to all things by looking within ourselves.

Have you ever been to a new place where you are completely emerged in beauty, and with the perspective of amazement of abundance at nature’s bounty? This is how a plein air artist feels and experiences when they go to new places and paint. Today our group went to a high vista and painted the Hawthorn Bridge in Portland, Oregon.
Plein air: En plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air” and is used to describe the act of painting outdoors in natural light. The light and nature are the master teacher for the artist and their creations. I feel it is a direct contact with the great creator, God, or universal force.
We were on the next to the top floor of a parking structure and painted this scene. It was a cold winter day and the energy was busting with the noises of a parade across the bridge and the remains of fall leaves added color and the canvas became full of paint applied with stucato and ligato strokes as feeling of fun ran through my brush strokes as I applied the paint. I painted quickly and with the momentum of the energy of cold day, cheers from parade, and inner amazement of the scene before me.
I received a welcome phone after the painting was finished and in my gallery on Fine Art America call from a magazine called “Country Pleasures” with an even welcomer request. The magazine wanted to feature my Art on their cover with five of my other images and a bio in side. What great publicity. I had to scramble to get things in by their deadline but fortunately I was well prepared so was able to do it in just a few hours.
The message here is the Boy Scout Moto “Be Prepared” and hold the intention that you will get those calls of opportunity.
Keeping positive thoughts is where all opportunity, synchronicity, and pleasure is manifested. Anytime we are feeling good and full of the energy of the thoughts that make us strong we are in abundance and the resistance to getting what we do not want is gone. With this wall of resistance taken down abundance of opportunity can find us and manifest. I am so grateful for learning this “Law of Attraction”. I am continually astonished at how well this all works. I use these ideas in both my Life Coaching Business and my Artistic Career and to keep myself happy and fulfilled. I have a good life.
How is this accomplished you ask?

Today I joined another Plein-Air Painter, Joy at Crystal Springs Rhodendron Garden in Porland, Oregon. It was a beautiful fall day with foliage putting on a new outfit of golds, orange, and bright red. We both expressed how grateful we were to be in this beautiful setting painting.
Joy is the energy behind the Breath of Plain-Air Group. If it wasn’t for her organization ability I would not have so many wonderful places to go. Being involved with groups helps artist to keep motivated to do their work.
Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge has walking trail consisting of shallow ponds, marshes, open fields and communities of woodlands along the water banks. 200 species of birds fill the air with sounds and the entrance to the Columbia River Gorge is celebrated in this En Plain-Aire Oil Painting. This method of painting is impressionistic and painted from the inspiration of this location. "Brother Rod"
I painted my Brother Rodney Victor today when he was a young man and as a baby. He is a wonderful family man and has accomplished many things in his life professionally, and spiritually. It was fun painting him and brought back many memories of our lives growing up. The painting was done for the Art House Coop Sketch Book Project.

"The Rose" in progress
Today I worked on the “Rose” Oil painting. I have used the pallet knife and color note theory. The color note theory is full color seeing and way the Impressionist view the painting of light. The theory started at the Cape Cod School under Henry Hensche. Seeing light is what the theory and great artists find is a universal foundation of beautiful color in painting.
As Lois Girffel says in her book “The Impressionist Landscape”, “Once you enter the glorious world of Impressionist color you will never go back.”

Draw Class: Today's Daily Painting is the "Draw Class" sponsored by the Portland Plein Air of Portland and taught by Kitty Wallis. I feel more successful every class. We are learning many exciting drawing techniques that are helpful for my drawing skills.
Draw Class: Today’s Daily Painting is the “Draw Class” sponsored by the Portland Plein Air of Portland and taught by Kitty Wallis. I feel more successful every class. We are learning many exciting drawing techniques that are helpful for my drawing skills. I can see the improvements in myself and others. This week we are adding “Memory drawing” We are to keep a 5″x7″ sketch pad and draw something we saw 24hrs. earlier. This new challenge is a very humbling one but we have all been encourged that we will be excellent artists if we finish out the year with this exercise and will be masters if we do it our whole life.
Sipping a green tea latte in Starbucks and reflecting on my day I decide to write this post. Today was the Portland Plein Air and Studio Painters Breakfast Meeting. We did critiques on paintings including one of mine. A critique always brings out a variety of emotions in a artist and I am still processing mine. I really don’t want to make the changes suggested as I am ready for the next thing. I have to remember this feeling when I am working with my art students when I tell them..there is just one more thing to adjust and they let out a loud groan.
My daily painting was done at the “Grotto” in Portland Oregon. They were putting up Christmas lights. Thousands and Thousands of twinkie lights. It was very festive and magical. I painted a pastel of a Angel praying on toned pastel paper.
For today I painted a cute little turkey that one of my students brought me as a gift. He was so excited to present me with this wonderful present I just had to put the little Turkey’s image on canvas. I thought it looked like it was flying on the blue carpet so called it, “Flying Turkey”.
Laura shared her sketches from her recent trip to Poland. She had a handmade sketch book made of watercolor paper. She worked mainly with pen and ink. She went with a group of artists which made the trip an extra special treat for an artist.
Friday’s are always busy days but I still was able to get in my creative flow with this acrylic Frosty Orange Abstract. I achieved this look by toning a canvas panel with frosty orange acrylic paint and then pouring the other colors on the canvas randomly. I will develop this abstract into another painting at another time.
Last Week was full of opportunity and activity. Richard True called and wanted to have a inner insert in his CD of a man painting the original painting CD cover Design. He wanted a man in a funky hat standing in front of my painting. A puzzle for an artist to solve. I found the funky hat and a model, my husband Tom, and a sunny day to photograph his. Thankfully being confident with Photoshop and help from my graphic design Daughter, Chelsea Weiler, I was able to put him in the painting. wonderful feelings of gratitude when it all came together with awesome results.
